CHARSADDA: Remote-controlled bomb blast in Charsadda on Monday caused at least nine people injured, including three police men.

The militants planted the bomb targeting a police van in Mian Kalat area of Shabqadar.

When the police van was patrolling through the spot where the bomb was planted, the terrorists detonated the bomb causing several people injured. Fortunately there was no loss of life. In the incident a private vehicle was also damaged.

The injured were transferred to hospital for medical attendance. Four injured of the blast have been in a precarious condition, hospital sources said.

Four people were in a critical condition. All the injured were transferred to the hospital.

The area was later sealed by the security agencies.
