Lahore: The students from Pakistan have been awarded scholarships from the Chinese government in order to get their further education at the leading educational institutions in China.
These scholarships were granted to candidates in a recent ceremony organized at the Chinese embassy which was attended by the Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong, his wife Bao Jiqing, Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination’s Federal Secretary Raja Muhammad Nadir Ali together with the families of those lucky aspirants.
Presently, Pakistan and China are cooperating with one another on different projects in step along with the Pak-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will expectantly be advantageous for both sides.
During his address at the event, Ambassador Sun Wei dong said that the CPEC will open up lots of job and education related opportunities for the young generation of Pakistan which will benefit them in the long run.
“Along with the execution of projects under CPEC, more and more job opportunities are being created, not only laborers, but also for the talented professionals. Having been educated in China, and familiar along with the Chinese technologies and standards, you will undoubtedly have a great competitive edge when facing this sort of opportunity in the coming days. I believe all of you will have a bright future in this respect.”
Annually, the China Scholarship Council offers 220 Chinese Government scholarships to Pakistani students some of which are already studying in China.
This year 131 scholarships have been granted to the aspirants whereas rests of them are already getting an education in China.
107 of these aspirants were suggested by the Ministry of Inter provincial Coordination of Pakistan. The thing that is more interesting is that these selected candidates form a very diverse group.
Some of the aspirants are from more developed cities such as Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore whereas there is a big ratio of aspirants from Gwadar, Gujranwala, Kamalia, Multan, Swat, Mingora, Sargodha, as well as DI Khan.
All of these brilliant students from Pakistan will be chasing Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Advance Training Programs at some of top leading universities of china taking on a diverse range of subjects such as Computer Science, Technology, Business Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, International Law, as well as Journalism.
