SHARJAH: Pakistan is looking forward to win ODI series against West Indies after winning Twenty20 series against the champions.
The first game of the three-match ODI series will begin on Friday at Sharjah on 04.00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST). This will be the first time that the two former champions will face off each other in 50-over game after the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup encounter.
Azhar Ali will be leading the team and will be trying to change the Pakistan’s ODI team’s fortune in series against West Indies after losing badly from England in the last series.
Ali’s captaincy has come under heavy criticism folowing the tour of England.
Pakistan is currently 9th in One-day rankings. Pakistan team has to clean sweep Windies in order to achieve 8th position in the One-day rankings.
West Indies, on the other hand, will lose their eighth place in the ODI rankings if they are clean swept by Pakistan.
