KARACHI: Rangers personnel in a raid in Old Golimar locality of Karachi recovered large quantity of arms and munitions and drugs from the house of an operative of a Lyari gang, ARY News reported on Friday.
A contingent of Rangers raided a house of a gangster, Riasat, in Old Golimar and captured large quantity of arms and a consignment of drugs, a spokesman of Rangers said in a statement.
The law enforcers recovered 76 hand grenades and detonators, nine sub-machine guns (SMGs), 500 SMG magazines, 11 nine mm pistols with 43 magazines, the spokesman said.
Moreover, two repeaters, one mouser, 12 pistols and 5000 rounds were also recovered from the house.
The Rangers personnel conducted raid at the house after receiving information from a citizen, the spokesman said.
The law enforcement personnel also captured a large consignment of drugs including 122 kilogrammes of heroin and 841 KG of hashish, from the house of the gang war operative.
Moreover, three wireless sets were also found in the house, the spokesman added.
