He said policy making had a cycle, and each step in this cycle is decided after deliberations. “The 100-day plan just doesn’t end here… we are forming implementation committees to ensure our targets are being achieved,” he added.
He underlined that the government had plans to serve the poor segment of the society. Mr. Umar said revolution would come through information technology sector of the country.
“People often ask about the money for planned government projects… let me tell you that the government will create Rs 6,000 billion investment opportunities that will help country steer out of the crisis”, he added.
He said the government would materialize all its promises and “prove all institutions can work”, which some quarters find it ‘impossible’ in the case of Pakistan.
“The health card would soon be introduced in Punjab to ensure provision of better health facilities to the people”, he said, adding: “It cannot happen that poor be plunged into further poverty… no nation can progress this way.”
He stated during his speech saying, ‘we will, with the grace of Allah, create 10 million jobs for the youth of the country.
“Some people want to see Pakistan as a failed state, but this country cannot be failed,” he concluded
