PM reviews federal ministers’ individual performance in cabinet session
ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the federal cabinet is underway with Prime Minister Imran Khan in chair, ARY News reported.
As per details, the special session of the cabinet has been summoned by the premier to review the performance of federal ministers on an individual level.
PM Imran will scrutinize his cabinet’s progress during the meeting which is being attended by federal ministers along with their secretaries.
Sources informed that unsatisfactory performance of ministers may lead to changing of their portfolios.
All ministries and divisions will brief the premier on their progress followed by a question answer session of 10-15 minutes, sources added.
Few days earlier, PM Imran Khan had also received a 100-day performance report of different ministries, outlining ‘feats and failures’ of the ministers in 100 days of governance.
According to the report, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed and Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed appeared to be having a tough contest in terms of edging past one another.
The report says that both the ministers completed their 100-day tasks in time. The ministry headed by Sheikh Rasheed registered an income of more than Rs 2 billion, while Murad Saeed’s ministry saw an addition of Rs 3 billion to the revenue in first 100 days in office.
