ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that disappointment was impossible in the war against terrorism and pledged that Operation Zarb-e-Azb would be finished for the current year.
In a casual discussion with media at the Parliament House, the armed force boss thought about the continuous exercises of the Pakistan armed force and said that the operation to find terrorism was advancing effectively.
“I have prior said that 2016 will stamp the disposal of terrorism,” he said.
Gen Raheel Sharif said that 99 percent terrorism had been brought under control and that the staying one percent would be killed also.
Discussing Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in the north-western FATA district, he said that the arrival of 56 percent IDPs has been finished.
He said that the arrangement of administration should be set up in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and the armed force has guaranteed the general population of FATA that terrorists will stay away forever to the locale.
He included that long haul peace and recovery of IDPs is the most elevated need.
The armed force boss said that automaton assaults damage Pakistan’s power.
Gen Raheel Sharif said that Pakistan armed force’s endeavors against terrorism were commended amid his late visit to Turkey where he saw multinational military activities.
The armed force boss said that Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman is endeavoring endeavors for the resumption of the US-Pakistan arrangement to buy no less than eight F16 warrior planes, adding up to $700 million.
COAS meets Parliamentarians
The COAS in a visit to the Parliament House on Wednesday met with the official parliamentarians in the capital.
The armed force supremo met with Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) boss Maulana Fazlur Rehman and traded civilities.
Gen Raheel likewise met with different lawmakers including Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani, Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi and different parliamentarians.
