SUNDAY TIMES ISLAMABAD: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in its weather forecast.
However, rain and thunderstorm also predicted at isolated places in Balochistan’s Quetta, Zhob, Kalat and Makran divisions, Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan region with light snowfalls over the hills.
The minimum temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning. Minimum temperature in Islamabad was eight degree centigrade, Lahore 12, Karachi 21, Peshawar 10, Quetta and Muzaffarabad six, Murree three and Gilgit-Baltistan five degree centigrade.
A westerly wave is present along western parts of the country and likely to affect parts of Balochistan from Wednesday night.
According to the met office, partly cloudy weather conditions are expected on Wednesday (today) in most parts of the country. However, rain and thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur and Larkana divisions, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
