SUNDAY TIMES ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet will be held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Finance Minister Asad Umar in chair, ARY News reported.
The ECC session will deliberate on review of the budget of the National Telecommunication Corporation.
The meeting will also consider over the matters related to the new power tariffs of Azad Kashmir, sources said.
According to sources, a summary to resolve problems related to sugar industry will be reviewed during the ECC session.
A summary to enhance exports will be presented for consideration during today’s meeting while a summary to meet the deficit of fertilizer will also be discussed, sources said.
The meeting is expected to give approval for supply of gas from Zafir Gas Field while supply of 66 mmcdf gas from Mari Gas Field will also come under consideration in the meeting.
The ECC in its meeting on Tuesday had approved the export of an additional 0.1 million ton of sugar in addition to the quantity of one million tons approved in the ECC session on October 3, 2018.
