LAHORE, July 15 2016: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of Lahore Parking Company and ordered suspension of Chief Executive Officer of the company for failure to achieve the target of provision of proper parking facilities to the citizens.
He was addressing a meeting of board of directors of Lahore Parking Company through video link. The Chief Minister said that substantial progress was not made during the last one a half years towards provision of parking facilities to the people while no practical effort was made for construction of parking plazas even at the sites identified for this purpose.
The Chief Minister said that purpose of Lahore Parking Company is to provide better facilities to the citizens. He said that his mission is to facilitate the masses and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. He said that the work of automation of parking places has also been slow.
He said that Lahore Parking Company authorities are fully empowered, however, measures were not taken to provide proper parking facilities. He directed that Lahore Parking Company should work actively for ensuring parking facilities to the citizens.
