As per details, eight outlaws were held, in a combing operation by Sindh Rangers and the police from city’s areas of Memon Goth and Essa Goth, in the wee hours of Saturday night.
During the operation betel nut, machinery to make ‘Gutka’ and illegal weapons were confiscated from arrested law-breakers.
In another operation of the LEAs, on November 20, in the metropolis, as many as 12 suspects were held in Bhangoria goth of Karachi’s area of Azizabad .
Around 104 houses were searched and 12 suspects were taken into custody during an operation in the area.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Karachi while briefing the media had said, three stolen motorcycles were recovered from the nabbed suspects.
The two law enforcement agencies have been conducting raids in different parts of the metropolis in order to maintain peace and law and order in the city.
Rangers and police had launched an operation in Karachi on September 5, 2013 following the directives of the then government in the wake of the rising incidents of terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and targeted killings.
