KARACHI: PCB recalled Umar Akmal to one-day squad on Sunday for the upcoming series against Windies.
Umar Akmal played his last ODI’s during 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Former head coach Waqar Younis and ex- manager Intikhab Alam complained about his rude and negative behavior which badly affected the batsman’s career.
He was recalled to the Twenty20 squad earlier this month after being passed over for five months.
Pakistan is currently on lead with 2 wins against West Indies in Three-Match Twenty20 series.
The first one-day international is in Sharjah on Friday, followed by another at the same venue on October 2 and one in Abu Dhabi on October 5.
There were also ODI recalls for batsman Asad Shafiq and pacemen Sohail Khan and Rahat Ali. Shafiq and Khan have not played since last year while Rahat was part of the team on the New Zealand tour in January.
Pakistan is currently 9th in one-day rankings after It lost a one-day series against England.
