SUNDAY TIMES RAWALPINDI : According to the statement, the ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Pakistan met with General Zubair Mahmood Hayat to discuss “matters related to regional dynamics”.

The two dignitaries also talked about “strengthening of bilateral security and defense cooperation between the two countries”, the press release noted.

On the other hand, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa yesterday witnessed the ongoing Pak-China International Air Exercise Shaheen-VII at an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force.

The ISPR reported that COAS was received by Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on his arrival at an operational air base of PAF.

COAS while interacting with combat crew, lauded the professionalism of participants of exercise and appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Air Force(PAF) and People’s Liberation Army Air Force in conducting international air exercise in a befitting manner.

“The exercise would further strengthen and promote the friendship, exchanges and cooperation between Pakistan-China and armed forces of both countries,” contented COAS.

The exercise is seventh in the series of Shaheen exercises and is conducted each year on alternate basis.
