According to details, two innocent Kashmiris were killed by Indian troops, moreover, a house was set on fire during a so-called search operation of the area by Indian forces.
The area was cordoned off and services of internet and mobile phones have also been blocked by the administration.
A day earlier, Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi and erstwhile Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik underscored the need of international community’s participation in resolving Kashmir conflict.
The former premier of Norway in a meeting with FM Qureshi urged the international community to play its due role to ease the problems and sufferings of the oppressed Kashmiri people.
The foreign minister laid stress on the point that ‘use of force’ by Indian troops could never settle the Kashmir dispute; the solution to the issue should be peaceful, political and diplomatic as per the UNSC resolutions, he suggested.
Further, the Norwegian representative also noted that Kashmir issue should be listed on the priority agenda of the global community. It is desirable that a peaceful way out is sought to resolve Kashmir dispute, he remarked.
