SUNDAY TIMES ISLAMABAD: The medical board comprises Dr Hamid Sharif Khan, Assistant Professor at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology,  Dr Muhammad Talha Bin Nazir, Assistant Professor of Electrophysiology, Dr Shahid Hameed, Professor of Cardiology at Punjab Institute of Cardiology Lahore, Dr Sajjad Ahmed, Associate Professor of Cardiology, Brigadier Abdul Hameed Siddiqui, classified cardiologist Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology & National Institute of Heart Diseases, Rawalpindi and Brigadier Azmat Hayat classified electrophysiologist Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology & National Institute of Heart Diseases.

Speaking to PML-N leaders who came to meet him at the prison last week, the PML-N supreme leader complained that he was being denied the right to treatment by the government. “I am not well. I am suffering from pain in my arm and chest.”

Earlier, a medical board had declared the reports of Sharif unsatisfactory. He had undergone echo and thallium scan tests at Punjab Institute of Cardiology .

The reports pointed out expansion of heart size due to its thickened muscles while Sharif’s echocardiogram  test was also declared unsatisfactory. His three cardiac tests were conducted at PIC, including echo, thallium and electrocardiogram .
