The Lahore High Court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique in the Paragon Housing Society scandal till November 26. The court had previously granted a 15-day extension in the interim bail of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and his brother in the case on October 24. The extension in the brothers’ bail had expired today. The National Accountability Bureau is probing Saad Rafique and his brother in the Paragon Housing Society scam on charges of corruption. The brothers had moved the Islamabad High Court earlier to provide them a protective bail, which the latter had rejected advising the petitioners to approach the Lahore High Court instead.
