PESHAWAR: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa, during a press, said that the Armed Forces are currently monitoring very carefully situations in the eastern border and that they are well prepared for any sudden incident.

“Pakistan has always acted responsibly,” Gen Bajwa said.

While briefing the media press, Bajwa said that Pakistan army is doing everything and made all kind of arrangements to protect the border and secure Pakistan.

“We are ready to respond to any situation,” Bajwa said. “Work has been completed on border posts set up for border management,” he added.

He also announced that the ongoing major operations of ‘Operation Zarb-i-Azb’ were successfully completed.

Unchecked crossborder movement between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be halted with new border posts, said Bajwa and added confidently that there were no more entry points from the war-hit region into Pakistan.

“Combing operations and intelligence-based operations (IBOs) near bordering areas greatly helped the army while it implemented its border management strategy,” he said.

1,470 Operations and IOBs were started operating from July 1st near Pakistani borders, revealed Bajwa.

“Army has cleared the mountainous regions of Rajgal and we have also deployed our troops in the once troubled region,” said Bajwa.
