ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) five-member committee will meet soon to draw a strategy for implementation of its four demands.

“The committee will meet all the political leadership of the opposition to implement the demands,” party sources said on Friday.

They said the purpose of forming the committee was to devise a strategy to compel the government to accept the four demands, which the party chairman had announced.

The committee will made recommendations that will be presented in the Central Executive Committee of the PPP to formulated strategy to launch protest campaign against the government, they added.

They said that committee will suggest ways and means to the government for implementing the four demands and would report back to the party chairman over any progress in this direction.

The committee would definitely see the options available to the party in case their demands were not met by December 27 deadline and would also prepare a plan to launch agitation against the government.

It is pertinent to mention here that former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has been appointed as head of the committee. While the members of the committee included Sherry Rehman, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Farhatullah Babar and Senator Sardar Fateh Mohammad Hassni. –APP
