Islamabad: Preparations to celebrate the Independence Day 2016 are in full swing at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. Various cultural programs have been devised to educate our youth about the importance of independence, the struggle and sacrifices of our elders for an independent homeland Pakistan and to reflect the jubilation of the nation. A musical show titled “Thank You Pakistan” will be held on August 13 at 7:30 pm at PNCA Open Air Theatre in which renowned artists from all over the country will present national songs, music and folk dances. Children of the twin cities will participate in Cultural Show on August 18 at 10:00 AM at PNCA Auditorium and will express their love with the country through speeches, national songs, skits and tableaus. A Magic show is part of the program to entertain the children. A special stage play on the theme of independence is part of the program. Documentaries on Pakistan will be screened at PNCA during the program to acquaint the youth with various facets of the independence. The PNCA is making arrangements for cultural shows on a special train at the eve of independence in which folk artists of all regions will perform. The National Puppet Theatre will present puppet shows at various Railway Station of big cities.
