ISLAMABAD: Due to the mismanagement of PIA’s staff Hajj pilgrims who are on their way back to home are facing hardships in their return journey.

According to the sources, PIA staff remained absent from their duties which affected the flight timings and schedule.

Around 28 pilgrims could not be provided boarding passes for Karachi-bound PK-732 flight and at-least 10 pilgrims returning from Medina to Lahore via flight PK-748, due to overbooking by the PIA staff.

Pilgrims were also not provided with hotel rooms for stay and were stuck at Medina and Jeddah airports for some hours.

The pilgrims that were refused boarding passes for their respective flights protested against the PIA management over the negligence and mismanagement.
