SUNDAY TIMES KARACHI:CM Shah made the remarks while chairing a session held to review the progress of various development schemes. The session was attended by provincial ministers, secretaries and chairman of the Planning & Development department.

CM Shah was apprised that Rs4596.7 million has been released for 145 schemes and Rs2 billion were spent so far. The officials said that funds were released in two instalments for other 26 schemes costing Rs25 million.

The chief minister expressed outrage over the slow progress of development schemes initiated by the provincial government.

Officials said that development work on some schemes was facing delay following the shortage of funds.

CM Shah directed to released funds for smaller schemes to be completed this year. He also ordered to provide furniture to the schools deprived of basic facilities.
