LAHORE: Actress Nisha Malik, whose debut film was slated to be released on Eid ul Azha, was found dead in mysterious circumstances at her Lahore’s residence, police say.
According to police, her body was found at her residence in Lahore’s Iqbal Town. Further details about her death would be revealed in her post-mortem report.
The family of the actress claimed that Nisha had committed suicide.
Sources informed the model had entered the fashion industry eight months ago and was set to appear in the upcoming movie ‘Best of Luck’.
She had minor arguments with the family before taking the extreme step of taking her own life.
Police say it is premature to say whether she committed suicide or she was murdered.
The police seized her mobile phone and other belongings for investigation.
